Time to rise

The last 3 days I had the opportunity to participate in the Time to Rise Summit event, hosted by the man himself, Tony Robbins.

I can’t describe the energy and amazing joy that I felt in this event. However, I would like to summarize the main take aways that I got from this experience:

  1. You will always have problems. Imagine a life without problems, what a boring life to live if everything would be predictable and perfect. If you have problems my friend.. congratulations, you are alive.
  2. Breakthrough, how do you get there? According to Tony, you need 3 main big players: Strategy, Story and State. Let’s start with the less relevant, Strategy. If you don’t have strategy then you won’t be able to get from point A to point B. You need a plan. Secondly, the Story you tell yourself about your life, the story of your past and who you are. Man listen, if you tell yourself you are a loser, then you will be forever a loser. If you tell yourself that everything is horrible in your life, I promise you, everything around will be horrible, even if it’s not. Therefore, you need to focus on having a positive story about yourself. Don’t lie to yourself, be realistic, but also have kindness and compassion towards you. Never, ever, speak wrongly about yourself. And finally, the State. Your vibration, your energy and how you feel. It matters the way you feel and your energy. You will never get out of a state of depression or any kind of mental pain, if you are in the wrong vibration. How do you manage to enhance your stage and energy? Well, it depends on what drives you and motivates you. For me, it’s exercise, dancing and music.
  3. Due to A.I, in the next 5-10 years there will be so many changes in the workforce and people will lose their jobs, not because they are incapable, but because the companies are reducing the amount of workers by implementing new technologies and improving their productivity with automation. It’s happening already, even if you like it or not. How do you adapt to this new environment? According to Tony, “You won’t be replaced by A.I, you could be replaced by someone who knows who to use A.I”. Therefore, for the next 5-10 years you need to be able to: a) Learn how to identify patterns. Therefore, when a cycle is changing or coming, you don’t freak out. B) Learn how to utilize patterns. Once you learn how to identify them, utilize them in your benefit. C) Learn how to create patterns. Life is not just about managing and keeping yourself in a comfortable zone, it’s also about creating new patterns and opportunities for you and others.
  4. Life is not just about yourself. The human being and mostly the last generations are so focus on themselves and everything they talk about is self care and self self self. Listen, the more focused you are on yourself, and the more focused you are in your head about you, then your brain will create problems, even if you don’t have them. Therefore, get out of your little head, open your eyes and see the world, see around and observe who is in pain or who might need your help. And by help I don’t mean by giving money or offering all your time and energy to others. It means, if you have the opportunity to offer yourself for support, help or care towards someone or something without expecting something back, you won that day. Even a smile, call a family member or friend you haven’t seen in months/years, it’s about making someone feel good and appreciated. Life is not just about you, is also about others. We are here to love each other and to grow together.
  5. And this takes me to my fifth point. Even when you are in pain, and actually, mostly when you are in pain, you need to support and help someone in need. Even if it’s only spending time, a kind gesture, a conversation or a smile to someone in pain. You don’t know what that person is going through, so please don’t let your pain stop you to give something to others. I wanted to share personally, that when I am in pain or any internal discomfort or anxiety. I immediately see around me, or reach out to a friend or family member and see how they are doing, and if there is any opportunity, offer help and support. Again, that doesn’t mean you are going to give what you don’t have, it means you are going to get out of your own head and find the way to make someone else feel good. Life becomes better when you are able to love, to give to others and when you feel useful for your community. Immediately , the nervous system activates and releases energy and dopamine, because you feel that sense of purpose, and your brain believes a new story, that you are useful and that you are worthy.
  6. If you are not growing, you are dying. What do you mean? Well, if you are not constantly learning something new or growing, then you are static, incapable of learning and thereby the human starts to die internally. It means that we have to be always paying courses and constantly educating ourselves? No, but it means that we have to be always moving and doing new things, and being okay with discomfort and uncertainty. That’s why I believe that problems and issues are good for your life, because when you are in pain or suffering, you learn, because that life situation is teaching you something. However, if we don’t leave our comfort zone and don’t have the willingness to make things happen around us, then you are not experiencing life and that’s when you die.
  7. Final thought, when life is hard and you are stuck in a cycle, you need to take action and move! Yes, when you are in a cycle of repetitive problems and issues, you need to make a change, now. Even though you might believe you don’t have the resources and energy, look for some source of energy , change your stage, rewrite the story of yourself in your head, make a plan, create momentum and take action! Immediately! Now! Angelo, but what if I take the wrong decision? Well at least you’ll know if it was the wrong decision, soon. Then, you take another action, but with more experience than before and with more wisdom. But if you stay where you are, and never move, then you will regret forever that you didn’t take action and you’ll feel regret. But if you make a decision, even if it’s not right, then you will find another direction to get where you want to be. The weight of regret it’s way heavier than the weight of discomfort. Let’s make normal to be in discomfort for things that we want to achieve, let’s make normal to make mistakes to get where you want to be. Be comfortable with errors and mistakes, that’s how you learn.

That’s a very raw summary of what I have experienced and learned the last 3 days. Hope it helps!

Cheers

Angelo

4 wins:

Today, I would like to speak about the importance to have a healthy daily routine. For me, a healthy daily routine should have 4 wins:

1) Taking care of your Mental Health. I do this specifically through:

-Daily meditation
-Gratitude
-Journaling
-Praying.

2) Taking care of your Physical health:

-Workout or cardio exercise.
-Eat healthy and avoid sugars or other unhealthy foods that don’t make any good to your body.
-No cigarettes, no marihuana, no drugs in general.
-Eat green foods, protein and healthy carbs.

3) Acts of service:

-Life is not just about you, find something that you are good at, and do it in service of others. Myself, I feel proud and happy in my job as business advisor, where I have the opportunity to support business owners to accomplish their financial goals. On the other hand, I engage in my Latin American community in Victoria, where we can support and help each other.

We you put your energy and time out there and focus on people, life gets less complicated. When you only focus about you, there is always space to create imaginary problems where there are not.

4) Have fun:

Life is not just about work, life is about having fun and smile, have joy and relax!

-Take a salsa class, go to the movies, go for a walk with a friend or by yourself, go to a massage place, take a box class, improv classes or play the guitar, call a family member, dance in the pub, go to play a board game or grab a beer with a friend.

For this, is very important to set aside time of your week to enjoy, to engage in a community and find activities where you can connect with other humans.

For me, this is the most important one. ☝️ have fun and joy.

At the end of the day, we will all be gone. The money we save in the bank account, the properties and certificates and all our accomplishments, they will all stay in this physical world. At the end of our journey in this physical world, all we have is the love we gave and the love we receive.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

The resilient Mindset

Today, I want to talk to you about something crucial for overcoming life’s challenges: resilience. Resilience means facing life’s circumstances with strength and grace.

First, cultivate gratitude. Be thankful for both the good and the bad. When challenges arise, view them as learning opportunities or tests of your tenacity.

Second, prepare yourself physically and mentally. Maintain a healthy diet, exercise regularly, practice meditation, and train your mind to resist negative thoughts. Focus on positive aspects and express gratitude.

Third, remember that every bad situation is temporary. Even terminal illnesses like cancer are meant to be faced with humility, serenity, compassion, and love. Accept that this pain is only temporary, and find solace in the hope of a brighter future.

True resilience isn’t just about gratitude for the good; it’s about facing the bad with a smile and kindness. Even in difficult times, strive to be kind to others.

In conclusion, when facing adversity, stay calm, be grateful, kind, and live happily. By embodying these qualities, you’ll develop resilience and navigate life’s challenges with grace.

Tell your story to inspire others

So many times we have heard that is better to keep our stories in secret and avoid sharing too much, that is better to keep ourselves quiet as someone with “envy” might damage your plans or create bad energy around you.

Now, I want you to do exactly the opposite. I want you to see yourself in the mirror, with a kind and honest look, and ask yourself.. how can I inspire people to keep going? How can I inspire people to be better than me? How can I make my burden that I carried for so many years, be in help for those who need to release their heavy weight too?

We came to the world with a purpose and every single situation we have experienced in our life is not an accident, it is because it was meant to be. Even the burdens and unfortunate events as an illness, failures or lost, are meant to happen for a reason. Usually, these situations bring a weight that we need to accept and carry during life. However, and please believe me in this one, as much as you share your story to inspire others to keep going and to carry their own burden, your weight will be less and less heavy during the years.

Means, instead of trying to spend all your life ashamed and hidden behind a mask, stop being someone you are not and take out that mask. Don’t be ashamed to start sharing who you really are and please tell the world your story, your traumas and your lost battles. Please tell your story with compassion and with a positive attitude, explain with kindness how you did overcome and did fight each of these situations. Therefore, someone that is crossing the same storm than you or with the same heavy weight in their shoulders, might be inspired by your story to keep going and carry on.

Plus, you will be helping yourself as well, as that heavy rock my friend, will be less and less heavy every single time you tell your story to inspire.

Serving beyond the obstacle

We should be extremely grateful for every single obstacle we face in our lives. Yes, many of them make us hesitate and struggle. Even wanting us to stop chasing our dreams. However, they are here because we need to take some time to breathe, learn and keep moving in another direction. After the obstacle leaves, we will see in the future why was important to never stop.

As humans, we make mistakes and hurt people in the way of life. Although, on the other hand, we should never stop helping and supporting people either. It is confusing, but this means that even when we are learning our lesson and facing challenges, there is always an opportunity to give a hand and love to other humans.

Serving beyond the obstacle, means to realize how important is to serve regardless of the circumstances of life. We should never give up or reject the opportunity to love, be kind and offer help to someone in need. Of course, we need to take care of ourselves first to be able to support someone else. However, a way to take care of ourselves is to serve and give energy to other humans. Because when we serve someone, the fact is that this person is helping us, instead of us helping them.

The Growth Mindset

Welcome to my personal blog: The Growth Mindset. Space where with easy going posts, we encourage our mentees to pursue their dreams, but first focusing on their personal development and self awareness.

Since we are babies, we learn how to eat and how to walk, we learn how to talk and how to communicate. All of it has been done for thousands of years and is a full knowledge package that it’s set up within a very much standard system where we repeat patterns that were established many years ago.

Therefore, there are two types of human’s mindsets: the Fixed Mindset and the Growth Mindset. The Fixed mindset is the most common one and stays behind the regular beliefs of the individual and it doesn’t allow changes. These individuals hesitate to go out of their comfort zone, they only learned what their parents and teachers told them, and never questioned it.

The Growth Mindset allows you to be part of a reduced percentage of population, that adapt themselves and are open to new opportunities in their lives, which create a more dynamic lifestyle. The Growth Mindset allows people to be more resilient, better at copying with failure and more likely to challenge themselves.

The light within us

We are love, light and magic, all within us. We just need to learn how to integrate them and to maintain this light bright everyday.

Through an honest acknowledgment and observation of our thoughts, after a positive interpretation of them that will create positive emotions, we will set an automatic state of optimism that will make our light brighter. In addition, it will make the light of everyone else brighter, as we humans have the gift to share our energy through a hug, a word or a kind action. It’s priority to understand that the real happiness is not to achieve everything for ourselves, but to share and serve the ones who need our energy.

Regardless of the good or bad situations that may happen around us, a set of daily mindfulness and gratefulness exercises and actions, will guide us to keep our light bright everyday. Is simple, to live our best life we need to develop habits that will lead us to success in our short or long term goals.

The journey of self awareness

Since we pass the teenager’s stage of life, we start taking our own decisions and actions that will lead us to who we are. The journey of knowledge becomes more difficult and selective. However, not many schools or teachers address one of the most important lessons in life, the self awareness knowledge .

In this journey, we learn how to properly breathe, how to manage your thoughts and how to acknowledge them as a positive or bad thought. We learn how to stay calm regardless of the circumstances. We take the decision to learn more of us everyday and to don’t expect anything back in return, the only return is to know you have won more calm and a peaceful rest at the end of the day. Following the self awareness journey, if we never give up, we will always win. Even if it seems like we are losing time or friends, we are actually winning. The trophy of self awareness is not at the end of the journey, the trophy is there everyday when we add and apply one more action towards our main goal, the goal of knowledge and self love.
